Young Women’s Leadership Conference

Once again this year, Burroughs is hosting the St. Louis Young Women’s Leadership Conference. To mark our Centennial, our keynote speaker will be Amanda Nguyen. Named a 2022 TIME Woman of the Year and a 2019 Nobel Peace Prize nominee, Amanda is the founder and CEO of Rise, a non-profit focused on promoting and codifying civil rights. In her spare time, Amanda is training to become an astronaut.

Additional speakers will include inspiring female leaders in fashion, education, and entrepreneurship who are graduates of St. Louis area high schools: Daphne Benzaquen (Burroughs, class of 2008), Robyn Viloria Wiens (Ladue, class of 1996), and Danielle Kayembe (Whitfield, class of 1995).

The event will be held in Haertter Hall. After a student-led Q&A, there will be refreshments from local women-owned businesses available.
