Our Centennial Documentary

Throughout our Centennial celebration, we reached out to members of our community to share their voices, many of which were included in a documentary that premiered at our Centennial Finale earlier this month. The short film features a series of stories and sub-stories that are part of our shared history, our shared experience, our first 100 years.

OUR CENTENNIAL BOOK

Our Centennial book, I Stay My Haste: Burroughs at 100, features the voices of current and retired faculty revealing the essence of Burroughs through personal essays. Comments by alums and other faculty complement these stories. The book also includes photo spreads for each decade and random bits of history and legend. This last section includes lots of lists (major milestones, enrollment through the years, etc.), a brief unofficial history, and remembrances about some of our late iconic faculty and staff — think Skip Alverson (Doran), Bernice Curlett, Charlie Derleth, Clara Fieselmann, Robert Hill, Tom McConnell, Alice Snodgrass, Bob Sortland.

Click here to order a copy of the book ($25); copies are also available in the Bookstore or by calling our Advancement Office at 314/993-4040.

OUR CENTENNIAL CAMPAIGN

Donors are essential partners in making Burroughs possible for every student every day. Priorities of our ongoing Centennial Campaign (July 2014-June 2026) include the Annual Fund, Endowment & Scholarships, and Campus Improvements. Questions? Please contact our Advancement Team.
